Promoting Positive Behavior for young people

SAYC staff works on promoting  positive behavior by role modeling, building relationships, clarifying expectations, establishing structures and routines, and responding, reflecting and repairing each day.

SAYC staff teach skills that build communities and promote positive behavior in turn creating a safe and engaging environment.

SAYC staff Explore conflicts as opportunities for young people to learn from mistakes, reflect on experiences and repair relationships.

At SAYC, young people are given the  opportunities to  Explore the “what, why, how in any conflicts”.

Building a community where all young people are encouraged to respect self the space they’re in and respect other while pursuing high educational and career goals.

Vision

To be the leading resource in preparing young people for their futures. SAYC accomplishes this by providing leadership experiences for existing and emerging community leaders, as well as increasing community reinvestment of local businesses and organizations.

Mission

To support and encourage youth in the areas of academics, career exploration and leadership development, while respecting self, space, and each other.

Hours

School Days:

Monday - Friday  3pm - 6pm

Non-School and Early Release Days:

Monday - Friday Noon - 4pm

NOTE: WE ARE CLOSED FOR ALL CITY HOLIDAYS AND DAYS THAT THE STOUGHTON AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT IS CLOSED DUE TO WEATHER
